Justin Timberlake teamed up with Matt Morris, playing the piano and guitar doing a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” during the Hope for Haiti telethon last night.  The song is so beautiful and they sang and played it exceptionally well.  I had tears well up in my eyes and a lump in my throat–that stayed with me the entire telethon.

Out of the many performances and celebrities who participated in the Hope for Haiti telethon, this performance really touched me.  In between the stories of survivors, the telephone calls from ordinary people like you and me, were the performances that lifted my spirits and helped me realize that music can, and does, heal many things; bringing people together to feel at one time.
