Kaley Cuoco Injured – Its Effect on Season 4 of The Big Bang Theory

When fans read about an actor getting injured off set, the first thought (after hoping it’s not serious and he or she is alright) is curiosity about how the show will handle it.  It happened last season with Matthew Gray Gubler on Criminal Minds.  Gubler injured his knee while on break from the CBS drama, and Criminal Minds wrote it into the show–he got shot in the leg and walked around with a cane for the next few months.  Kaley Cuoco was injured this weekend–will it have any effect on The Big Bang Theory‘s upcoming season?

Kaley Cuoco & Horseback Riding Do Not Mix

This past weekend, Cuoco got injured while horseback riding.  She broke her leg, but fortunately according to a spokesperson, “she’s scheduled to make a full recovery.”  So what does this mean for The Big Bang Theory, which is currently filming its fourth season?  The episode they are currently filming will be without Cuoco’s Penny, and luckily the show was already going to be taking a week off after that episode.  The CBS comedy is moving to Thursdays this fall, and its premiere, “The Robotic Manipulation” will air on September 23rd at 8pm.

How do you think The Big Bang Theory will address Cuoco’s injury and Penny’s disappearance?  Will you be watching the show this fall or has another Thursday night show stolen that time slot for you?
