The Big Bang Theory is a show about four scientists and a waitress.  Kaley Cuoco plays the only female lead on the CBS comedy.  Her character, Penny, is at the center of many of the comedic moments as the others confuse her with much of what they discuss.  However, Cuoco was injured while horseback riding and had to miss some work because of it.  But there’s good news–it looks like she’s well on her way to a full recovery and Penny will be returning to the series.

Michael Ausiello has reported that Kaley Cuoco is recovered enough from her broken leg to get back to acting.  She’ll start filming for The Big Bang Theory again a week from Monday, October 11th.  So how will this affect her story line on the show?  With the way the filming schedule worked out, two episodes will be Penny-less.  The show had been taking a week break from filming and decided to stretch it out to two since they had the time available.  It will be interesting to see how they work her broken leg and absence into the show.

How do you think the writers will address Cuoco’s injury in Penny’s story line?
