Kansas vs. Kentucky Preview

CBS features a National Championship game between Kentucky and Kansas. Both of the teams have had a stellar season and will try to bring home a championship to their schools. So much is on the line in tonight’s game. These two teams have been working the entire season for an opportunity like this, and they surely do not want to let it slip through their fingers.

This is the opportunity every college athlete dreams of—a chance to be called the best team in the world. For many athletes, they have worked their entire lives to reach this pinnacle, and is something that they take very seriously. Both Kansas and Kentucky have done everything right to get to where they are. Both of these teams also have a rich history of winning at the highest level, and they will try to add a championship tonight.

Kentucky WildcatsFor Kansas, they are coming off a narrow win against Ohio State. It was a team performance by the Jayhawks, and they simply willed themselves to win. They will need more of the same if they want to beat the highly touted Kentucky Wildcats tonight. They have relied on Taylor and Robinson for much of the season, and they will need a collaborative effort from everyone in order to upset the slightly favored Wildcats.

For the Wildcats, they are coming off an impressive win against Louisville with a final score of 69-61. They displayed the type of athleticism and offense that is needed to bring home a championship. Anothony Davis and Doron Lamb have been lighting it up from the paint.

They have relied on them for offensive production, and they will need these two to continue their excellence if they want to bring back a championship, which will be Calipari’s first. Davis has been their go-to guy late in the game. He scored 18 points and had 5 blocks, they will need him down the stretch in tonight’s game.

Regardless of the winner, it should be an entertaining game for college basketball fans everywhere. The game will be televised on CBS.
