Kate Middleton and Prince William Change Titles for New Year’s

One most likely site for Kate Middleton and Prince William to spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day is with the in-laws—his parents Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. And if they do, Wills and Kate will change their titles for the occasion, to some others they gained on their wedding day—Earl and Countess of Strathearn, reports Entertainment STV.

There, they will probably go on long walks and fish. Sounds like fun. Fans hope the salmon are running, because the castle is deep in the heart of Scotland—Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, on the Royal Balmoral Estates. There is not much excitement in the area. And the titles are old, old Scottish titles, re-appropriated for Kate Middleton and the prince to use when in Scotland. The Duke and DucheFile:William and Kate wedding.jpgss of Cornwall, when in residence there, use the titles Duke and Duchess of Rothesay. These things matter a lot, to the people who actually call them by said titles.

The Scottish countryside is stunning, quiet and calm. Perhaps the paparazzi will stay away, what with the cold mists, and all that. Or not. But either way, Kate Middleton and Prince William will spend a quiet weekend. Probably, they will have partied enough. And if there is an emergency, of course, the prince will be called back to active duty. He may like it better that way.
