Kate Middleton and Prince William Wedding in Jeopardy

The wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William may be in jeopardy. British police worry that anarchists may disrupt the royal wedding on April 29, 2011. Police are on high alert for terrorists who would cause havoc on the wedding day.

According to AOL, “Police commander Bob Broadhurst also said Monday that British officers may be able to tap into special police powers that would let them stop and search people on the street. He said police will be on alert for any signs of a terror threat — despite security officials saying earlier there is no credible terror threat to the nuptials.”

On Saturday, police arrested 149 protestors who are upset about recent cuts to programs. Protestors are angry about the millions of dollars that will be spent on the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William. They are angry that government programs are being cut to the bone.

In order to keep the Prince and future Princess safe, a barrier will be erected around Westminister Abbey, and police may resort to searching guests. What a sad world this is that an event like the royal wedding would be used to protest, but the protestors have a point, as well.
