Kate Middleton has been left alone this week, but she is not lacking for male company. Prince William had to leave his beautiful bride alone to pay his respects to the nanny who helped raise him. Kate is proving she has what it takes to be the future queen and has embraced her role as a royal. Flying solo is not an issue for her.
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Newcastle Civic Center to a throng of waiting fans. Among those fans was 10-year-old Terry Campbell from Morpeth Road Primary School. He had a mission in mind when he got out of bed on the morning that he will never forget. He had his heart set on hugging Kate and possibly even getting a kiss from William’s wife.
When Kate walked down the aisle of admirers, Campbell stood out with his arms raised in the air. How could Kate deny the young man a hug? She immediately walked towards him and asked, “Am I going to get a cuddle as well?” The young man was left shell-shocked and gushed, “I never actually thought it would happen. I can’t believe she hugged me back.”
His school pal revealed a little secret about the encounter with Kate Middleton, “The one thing he really wanted though was a kiss.” Better luck next time little man. In the meantime, he can take comfort in the fact he got to the Duchess of Cambridge, a real-life princess.
