Kate Middleton doesn’t buck tradition, especially on St. Patrick’s Day. This UK royal wore green fashion in the form of yet another coat dress as she enjoyed a chilled glass of sherry—Harvey’s Bristol Creme to be exact—on March 17.
While dressed to impress, the Duchess of Cambridge gave out shamrocks to a lot of service folk and a canine, too, laying a bunch of the green lucky charms on Cornmeal, an Irish wolfhound who is active in the military (see the photo here).
While doing so, this fashion saavy royal was warm in her belted Emilia Wickstead ensemble that was complimented by a tilted head topper lovingly called the “Betty Boop” and made by Lock and Co. This chocolate-brown hat matched her chocolate-brown suede shoes and were accompanied by a brooch in the form of a gold shamrock.
The aforementioned brooch is actually a borrowed item as the pin is owned and loaned by the Irish Guards. This is St. Patrick’s Day tradition that happens on other special occasions, too, and has been a privilege that has been granted to both the Queen Mother and Princess Anne in the past.
As for Kate’s lobes, well they were adorned by amethyst and diamond earrings created by Kiki McDonough, easy to see with her mane pulled back but still down and wavy for the occasion.
And so, as Kate Middleton was once again out and about, looking smart and sartorially on point, she was looking upbeat yet regal on St. Patrick’s day.
With that said, how do you think look Wills’ wife was dressed on this very green day? Would you give her a sartorial hooray?
