Elle Magazine held court at the Four Seasons on October 17 to honor the likes of Michelle Pfeiffer and Evan Rachel Wood. Elle‘s Annual “Women in Hollywood Tribute” also drew a long guest list which included Katherine Heigl, Chloe Moretz, Nicole Richie, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Amber Heard, and many more.

Amber Heard was one of the many celebs who wore Calvin Klein at the event. The Playboy Club actress wore a pale pink dress with heavy, grey pumps. Unfortunately, what stood out was how powder-heavy her make-up seemed.

Reese Witherspoon tried something other than the short cocktail dresses she favors. The star of This Means War looked chic in a Bocanegra pantsuit.

Finding more success in Calvin Klein was young actress Elizabeth Olsen. Mary-Kate and Ashley’s younger sister looked elegant—though her figure was a bit overwhelmed—in a long, sleeveless dress in silver. As usual, an easy smile and effortless styling accompanied the Martha Marcy May Marlene star’s look. The same goes for Naomi Watts who looked beautiful in her nude Calvin Klein dress.

Katherine Heigl has fallen into the habit of dressing a bit too old for her age. Her embellished Amanda Wakeley dress, paired with her bouffant updo somehow had a matronly effect, even though the dress was actually quite revealing.

Joining Katherine Heigl on the list of not-so-successful looks was Jennifer Aniston. The actress’ Kaufmanfranco dress was the right idea, but the neckline was simply too low to be flattering. Gillian Jacobs opted for a bold Mary Katrantzou number, but something about her look seemed like she was trying too hard. However, the Community actress did carry a gorgeous, blue Edie Parker clutch.

As for the other best-dressed “Women in Hollywood?” Honoree Michelle Pfeiffer looked ageless in Alexander McQueen. Nicole Richie picked a beautiful Douglas Hannant gown. Jenna Dewan sparkled in Edition by Georges Chakra. Camila Alves stood out in polka-dotted Z Spoke by Zac Posen.
