Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are burgeoning models, stylistas, and reality TV show starlets, so they certainly didn’t sit out all the modish madness that was Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 6. While Kourtney Kardashian was no doubt at home with her own fashionable little addition, baby girl Penelope Scotland, and Kim Kardashian was making waves in New York City on FNO with her True Reflections fragrance launch before jetting to Charlotte, NC, for the Democratic National Convention, the younger Jenner girls held their own at The Beverly Center in Los Angeles, CA. They even took a spin down the runway during the evening!
While Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 15, looked as haute as ever in their coordinating metallic moments, they did also reveal that “Keeping up with the Kardashians” isn’t always so easy—or such a sparkling undertaking.
“I would never want to change… but it is definitely hard because everyone knows everything about you… there is no room for mistakes because everyone wants to pick at you for it,” Kylie admitted to Celebuzz. But despite the obvious pressure cooker and the big stiletto-clad footsteps they may feel the need to follow, both girls are still “so appreciative.”
The Jenner girls seem to have a good perspective on their fame game, although it’s probably been a tumultuous road at times. In fact, a recent episode of KUWTK touched on the situation when both Kendall and Kylie were struggling with “keeping up with” their schoolwork.
Straight A’s (or the lack thereof) aside, neither Kendall Jenner or Kylie Jenner seem to have a problem with getting good grades on the style scene and staying at the top of their fashion game, as they always dress to impress. But they said they owe it all (or a lot of it) to Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian Odom, and Kourtney Kardashian. “Our sisters are a big part of it,” Kylie said, with Kendall also gushing, “They inspired us so much.”
That said, Kendall and Kylie have sometimes been accused of copying their older half-siblings’ style a little too much, flaunting exits that could translate as a bit too revealing and curve-hugging for their age and role-model status. But these girls are certainly far beyond their years, at least when it comes to their professional careers, so they might as well dress like it!
