Kentucky vs. Connecticut Preview

The Elite 8 continues today for woman’s college basketball, and it features a great game between Connecticut and Kentucky tonight on ESPN. Both of these teams are vying for a spot in the Final Four.

Kentucky comes into this game with an overall record of 28-6 and are 13-3 in the SEC. They are coming off an impressive win over Gonzaga with a final score of 79-62. In their win, Snowden scored 17 points with 2 rebounds. She made an incredible five three-pointers that helped send the on to the Elite 8. They will be looking to do much of the same against CONN tonight. They are trying to make it to the Final Four for the first time in their program’s history.

CONN comes into this game with an overall record of 32-4 and are 13-3 in the Big East. They are coming off an impressive win over Penn State with a final score of 77-59. They are the top seed in the tournament and have a history of winning on the big stage. They are coached by one of the best coaches in woman’s college basketball in Geno Auriemma. They have a great roster of players and Geno believes any one of their stars can step up when needed. They will need this type of confidence if they want to prevail against Kentucky tonight.

Connecticut has many talented players, and Hartley is averaging 18 points per game. Stokes is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. They will need to get the boards on both ends of the floor if they want to continue their run to the Final Four.

Kentucky also has a talented roster and Snowden is averaging 13.7 points per game for them. Walker is averaging 12.7 rebounds per game. They will need to keep this game close and capitalize on their three-pointers come game time.
