Kidnapped Baby Won’t Be Returned to Mother

Kidnapped baby Alouette Day-Moreno-Baltierra was miraculously rescued in Kentucky recently after vanishing from California over two months ago. However, the latest update in the lucky tot’s case isn’t exactly a positive one (depending on how you look at it, of course). It appears that this baby will not be returned to her mother, and here’s why:

When Dominique Baltierra reported her child missing, the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services had already opened a file on the girl. Little Alouette Day-Moreno-Baltierra was in the system, flagged for concern by the state. However, details behind why the state was investigating the child’s home/family are not known.

The mother of the kidnapped baby also tried to cancel the missing persons report she filed, and the woman who was arrested in connection to the baby’s kidnapping was none other than the child’s own grandmother. It was the grandmother who was spotted pushing this little girl around in the bitter winter climate without proper covering, which prompted her arrest and the discovery of this missing girl.

The child will not be returned to her mother (for now) and officials will not clarify on whether or not she will be leaving Kentucky anytime soon, or if she even has already. What is known is that there may be more charges pressed in the future. This is also not the first time the family has been involved in a missing person’s case. The grandmother and mother of the child were also allegedly “missing” at one point. Good grief.

Is it possible that this “kidnapping” was nothing more than a ruse to keep the DCF out of their lives? It sure looks like it.
