Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom | Walt Disney World

The Kilimanjaro Safari Ride was one of my favorite rides at Animal Kingdom (next to Expedition Everest).  It is a fun little ride, and you get to see a lot of cool animals, and some of them are pretty close to you.  I’d recommend getting a Fast Pass for it, and ask to sit in the back…that way you have more time to get better pictures.  :)

Elephants love to roll around in the mud…especially this one!

Her friend didn’t want to be a part of it.

“Hey!  Where are you going?”

“Oh well!”

One thing I learned about flamingos is that they don’t turn pink until they’ve eaten plenty of food high in beta carotene. That’s why some of these are so light in color — they haven’t eaten enough shrimp!

There’s a lazy lion up there.  Can you see him?

The white rhino would only show us his hiney!

The Lion decided to wake up.

One big group of friends…
