Kourtney Kardashian Feeling Overwhelmed After Birth of Baby Girl: Scott Disick to Blame?

Kourtney Kardashian recently gave birth to an adorable baby girl, Penelope Scotland, which unsurprisingly created plenty of excitement for her and family, including fashionista sisters Khloe Kardashian Odom and Kim Kardashian, who have undoubtedly already dressed their niece to impress. But despite the happy occasion, it seems the new mom (again!) may be feeling the negative effects of having a newborn and an already packed schedule, what with the reality TV show empire that includes Keeping up with the Kardashians, her and her sisters’ design lines and Dash stores, not to mention having a toddler son, Mason, to care for, as well.

Not that Kim and Khloe and even Kourtney’s sometimes bad-boy partner and the father of her children, Scott Disick, don’t appear to be doing their part. Kim and Khloe have both been spotted entertaining little Mason on frozen yogurt excursions and other fun dates, while Scott has been seen playing a model dad with boys’ day-outs with his son at the beach and more.

But even with her large family and the support system it seems she must have in place, Kourtney Kardashian is apparently feeling the pressure and is quite overwhelmed, at least according to an insider.

File:Kourtney Kardashian 2 2009.jpg“She’s surviving on very little sleep—sometimes just a couple of hours a night if she’s lucky,” reported the source, as Entertainmentwise confirms. “And she’s having to take care of two children. It’s intense and would be a lot to handle for anyone. She’s constantly exhausted and getting quite cranky. She’s going to run out of energy, and needs to delegate some of the responsibility—whether it’s cooking, cleaning or diaper-changing—if only just to give herself some [rest]!”

It’s rather unfortunate that the busy Kourtney is dealing with some stressful, challenging times right now. However, this may be one instance where Scott Disick cannot be the scapegoat—or take the blame.

After all, the no-shut-eye and exhaustion thing sure seems pretty standard and normal for a mom (celebrity or not!) who’s caring for her newborn—a reality of mommyhood, especially when there is more than one child in the picture. That said, hopefully Scott is continuing to step up his daddy game and put any tendency to indulge in the club scene or go party-hopping on the back burner, replacing a night of shots with diaper and dinner duty.
