Kim Kardashian is giving away the gifts she received from her doomed ratings-ploy sham of a wedding to Kris Humphries. However, she won’t be giving away her engagement ring.
Momager Kris Jenner told “Good Morning America” on Thursday that Kim won’t be returning her $2 million, 20.5-carat diamond ring to her soon-to-be-ex-husband.
“I hate an Indian giver,” she said on “Good Morning America.” “It’s a gift — you keep a gift [writer's note: except for all those gifts you're giving to charity, right?].”
Notwithstanding the fact that “Indian giver” is totally offensive (note to Kris Jenner: money can’t buy class, girl!), tradition dictates that the woman should return the ring if she’s the one who breaks off the relationship. Since Kim Kardashian is the one who filed for divorce, then she should give it back to Kris Humphries. She’s already trying to claim she knew the marriage was a mistake and almost called off the wedding, so why would she want to hold onto something that reminds her of such a painful time?
Oh wait, that’s right: Because the Kardashians are just a bunch of greedy, selfish, shameless famewhores who don’t care who they have to walk all over to get ahead and keep their names in the press. Kim Kardashian’s sham wedding to Kris Humphries was about nothing but money and publicity, and it’s obvious she values material things more than the person she was married to (however briefly).
Of course, there’s actually a pretty simple reason why Kim Kardashian can’t return the ring to Kris Humphries: She bought it herself, and she can’t exactly admit that now, because that doesn’t fit with the “victim” narrative Kris Jenner is pushing so hard in the press.
What do you think? Is Kris Jenner right to call Kris Humphries an “Indian giver”? Should Kim Kardashian return her engagement ring? Sound off in the comments!
