Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to star in Twilight: Breaking Dawn – The Musical?

According to Hollywood Life the next installment of The Twilight Saga may be in for a movie makeover… into a musical!

That’s right. The rumor is that Bill Condon, the front-runner as Director of Twilight: Breaking Dawn has plans to go out of the series with a big Hollywood bang by turning the final two-parter into a musical.

What?

But think about it… it actually makes sense.

First of all, the two main stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are accomplished musicians in their own right. K-Stew is channeling First Lady of Girl Rock Joan Jett in The Runaways and R-Patz has been trying to establish his music career for several years now. It’s those pesky movie roles that always get in the way.

AND Condon is the highly acclaimed Director of the smash hit movie musical “Dream Girls.”

Finally, it’s an open secret that it’s the end of the road for the Twilight movies… at least with these two stars. By the time this two-part sequel hits theaters in 2011-2012 they’ll both be a little long in the tooth to play teenagers – immortal or otherwise…

What do you think? Would you like to see the end of the series fading into Twilight and ending with a song?
