Kristen Stewart’s strong, warrior-like role in Snow White and the Huntsman got a bit lost in the shuffle once news broke of her affair with the film’s director, Rupert Sanders. But there’s one person who hasn’t forgotten the leading lady’s formidable portrayal of the fairy-tale character: her co-star, Chris Hemsworth. In fact, he rather liked working with her. But Robert Pattinson has no need to worry about this Huntsman; his relationship was purely platonic—no off-set kissing and telling here.
Hemsworth recently told Metro of his on-set time with Stewart, “It was great, besides when she punched me in the face. That’s a true story. It was pretty painful; that was a big punch. No, it was fantastic.” The actress has no doubt wanted to use that right-hand wallop many a time in the face of paparazzi, but maybe she’ll soon take on another fierce role to channel any lasting aggression.
“She had a really strong attitude about where her character should go, which is good. You don’t want someone who sits on the fence,” the actor also said of Kristen Stewart. She also made a good impression on “Evil Queen” Charlize Theron, who was also impressed by her talent and said so, too—that is, before that relationship became strained after those compromising photos surfaced.
While the Snow White movie is sort of old news by now, already out on DVD and Blu-ray, it’s still refreshing to have a news blip about Stewart that doesn’t circle back to her indiscretion with Sanders and Pattinson’s feelings about it, or about the chances of their reconciliation being a long-term one. At the end of the day and cheating scandal aside, Stewart is one of the hottest and most dedicated young actresses on the scene, and it is perhaps precisely that immense passion that got her into trouble in the first place.
