First, Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson. Now she’s taking credit for his success? The recently reconciled couple, plus Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, just rendezvoused for an interesting interview for “MTV First: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” where Stewart had her own two cents to add about both her vampire and werewolf boys.

“I take credit for both of these guys actually, fully and completely,” Stewart said when asked about Pattinson and Lautner’s initial audition process for the Twilight roles. She was obviously being facetious, as both actors are talented and have played crucial parts in their own success stories. But she’s not shy in admitting that she apparently rooted for Pattinson and Lautner to be the Team Edward and Team Jacob—nor should she be. It’s hard to imagine any stars more perfectly embodying those roles.

But none of the Twilight team probably knew what a phenomenon they were creating when they set out to film the first movie.

As for Pattinson, well, he had he his own reservations, as well, when it came to the audition process, admitting he was “extremely nervous” and self-conscious, as he had to take his shirt off. Looks like his bare chest made the cut!

The cloud created by Kristen Stewart’s indiscretion had seemingly lifted during this MTV sit-down, as she and on-again boyfriend Robert Pattinson, along with Taylor Lautner, gave a rather playful interview, perhaps using humor to diffuse any remaining shred of awkwardness or tension. Oh, and just for the record, Pattinson is taking credit for Stewart’s success, too. As he jokingly put it, “You can say anything you want in an interview.”
