Lady Gaga Did Wear Latex (or PVC) to Meet the Queen

I hazarded a guess last night here on gather that Lady Gaga would likely keep her promise to Jay Leno regarding wearing latex at the Royal Variety Performance but that she would have to give it some off the wall twist in honor of the respect Queen Elizabeth is due.

I was right, and Lady Gaga nailed it.

She performed her latest song, Speechless, for the monarch.

Lady Gaga’s red PVC outfit featured a lengthy train that drifted to the ground while she played her black piano (which itself was a functional art object). The dress had a decidedly Elizabethan design to it, but due to the nature of the material did not feature the highly elaborate detailing of the period.

The highly ruffled collar reminiscent of Henry VIII I am was overshadowed by the exquisite puffed sleeves of the garment!  Definitely a great look that blended Lady Gaga’s style with a dress cut that would have flattered another Queen Elizabeth (I).
