Mother Monster Lady Gaga is now Godmother to Sir Elton John’s son Zachary, sources say. The legendary singer and his partner David Furnish, once coy about it, have now made the official announcement, and believe Gaga is a good choice.

She’s taken over planet in her music, Cirque de Soleil-style concerts, and her “Monster Ball” cult following.

Now the “Born This Way” singer aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, can add Godmother to her resume.

Legendary Singer Sir Elton John hinLADY GAGA ELTON JOHNted at the possibility of the relationship Germanotta would have with his son Zachary in February, but did not let the cat out the bag at that point.

His partner, David Furnish side-stepped questions during the same period, but left the gate open for a strong possibility.

But during his special appearance on SNL as a host, John confirmed that Lady Gaga was now the Godmother of his son Zachary.

Strange things happen daily in Hollywood and the world of entertainment.

Just ask Charlie Sheen and the Kardashians. Why Gaga, and why now? Who knew she was Godmother material?

Sir Elton John and his partner sat down with Barbara Walters for a GMA interview. He explained that he believes that while people may be critical of the stage persona of the “Bad Romance” singer, deep inside, she is nurturing and would make a great caregiver.

Ah, how sweet; well put Elton.

Perhaps, David Furnish was a bit more forthcoming. He said that one day; Zachary will inherit an arsenal of music from his legendary father, and will need someone to guide him along the way in overseeing the priceless treasure.

The two reasoned that Lady Gaga should be the Godmother because there is no one else in the business who knows it better — other than Justin Bieber. But he’s not old enough yet.
