Lady Gaga took the time out of her insanely busy schedule to wish her good friend, Ellen DeGeneres, “Happy Birthday.” The talk show host and Gaga have become fast friends and are both staunch supporters of anti-bullying.
Gaga joined a host of other celebrities in sending Ellen birthday wishes in a video. Mother Monster had the honors of closing out the clip. She wore her trademark dark sunglasses with her hair piled up on top of her head as she thanked her friend for inspiring her and millions of people around the world.
Lady Gaga is spreading herself pretty thin lately, but she thrives on working. She has been busy making preparations for her upcoming “Born This Way” tour and helping her dad open a new restaurant. Gaga’s father opened Joanne Trattoria in New York this week, and his loving daughter has lent her time and support. The restaurant is named after Gaga’s late aunt. Lady Gaga loves to do normal things, and chopping onions is definitely normal.
Her father, Joe Germanotta, reveals his appreciation and yet concern over his daughter’s help in the kitchen, “She’s left-handed, and every time I watch her chop, it makes me cringe.” Hey, lefties can do it just as well if not better! Gaga loves to cook and is probably reveling in the downtime she gets to spend with her family. Times like these will be few and far between as she embarks on a massive world tour.
Daddy Germanotta sends out a bit of a warning to Little Monsters: you will not see any Lady Gaga memorabilia in the restaurant. In fact, he thought long and hard about including his famous daughter in the family photos that adorn the restaurant. The Italian eatery is for enjoying fine food, not making googly eyes at Lady Gaga or her family.
