Lee DeWyze Sings ‘Hallelujah’ VIDEO – Judge’s Choice: 2nd Song – American Idol 2010 Top 3 – Season 9 – May 18, 2010 PERFORMANCE

May 18, 2010 – American Idol Performance: Judge’s Choice (2st Song): Lee DeWyze sang “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen

Simon Cowell is the judge who got to chose Lee’s song and Cowell choose “Hallelujah” and what a great song choice it was! Well done Simon Scowl Cowell!!!

Earlier this episode, DeWyze was able to choose his own song and he picked “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd as his “singer’s choice.” He did an amazing job with it and I was a little worried he would not do as well with “Hallelujah” simply because “Hallelujah” is a big song for anyone to take on. My fears were unwarranted though because Lee once again did an amazing job.

As DeWyze sang upfront on the stage, his backup was a gospel choir and a string section. I think the huge spectacle all worked out to his advantage though because he was really good. The judges were full of praises once again and Simon was quite happy with how Lee did.
