A new film preview shown to viewers of the Sex and the City 2 movie is for an upcoming comedy involving an unlikely romance and an orphaned girl. Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel star in “Life as We Know It” directed by Greg Berlanti and produced by Paul Brooks. Also starring in the Warner Brothers release will be Josh Lucas.
The new movie will tell the tale of Heigl as Holly Berenson and Duhamel as Eric Messer. The pair go on a blind date set up by mutual best friends, but Holly ends up hating the guy. Despite their inability to get along romantically, the two wind up being named as the caretakers for a little baby girl, after her parents both die. So Holly and Eric must co-exist while trying to raise the baby. They experience the joys and pitfalls of parenthood in the process for a feel-good romantic/baby comedy.

There’s been plenty of these types of movies done with a baby being left to three straight guys or just one guy, or two gay guys, but I don’t think there’s been one done with a baby being left to an unmarried guy and a girl yet. “Life as We Know It” is scheduled to hit theaters October 8, 2010.
