In a somewhat of a shocker story, Lindsay Lohan has refused prescription drugs to handle pain post dental surgery.

Sometime within the last week LiLo had her surgery, and has been going sans painkillers according to a report by Radar Online. “She had teeth removed and won’t even take any painkillers for the pain.”

Is this because shes’ a tough cookie and likes pain? Not quite. It’s supposed to be a sign that she’s dedicated to her rehab program that she’s currently enrolled in at the Betty Ford Clinic for a cocaine addiction. She’s reportedly doing everything she can to get her life straightened out once and for all.

It does make sense, if you think about it. Prescribed drugs are drugs when everything is said and done. If you have a substance weakness, it’s best to distance yourself from all forms of the addictive substance. Still, not many of us would be strong enough to refuse pain killers post dental surgery and withstand the pain as it came.

This is a stark difference in the picture painted five months ago after he last surgery where she, like most of us, took the painkillers to handle the discomfort post surgery. Those painkillers were in the form of the powerful drug Dilaudid.

Do you think Lindsay’s move was a smart one done because she’s committed to making this work, or was it something else? Was this all for the media to show how she’s a brave soul for refusing the painkillers and such?

There’s still one big question that’s on all of our minds. Is Lindsay really going to come clean and stay clean this time? We can only wait, see and hope that she truly has made it out of her dangerous lifestyle and addictions for good this time.
