Looking for a Good Book? Here's What America's Reading…

I always look forward to the best seller lists from my local paper. (Don’t worry…it’s not the best seller list from the middle of nowere.) The list is printed in my paper, but it’s compiled by the New York Times Best Seller Lists. I enjoy seeing the rare book I’ve read actually make it’s way on the list and asking around at work to see what others are reading.

Here’s this week’s list.
Top 25 Hardcover fiction…I’ve read 0

1 The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, by David Wroblewski.
2 HEAT LIGHTNING, by John Sandford.
3 The Given Day, by Dennis Lehane.
4 HOT MAHOGANY, by Stuart Woods.
5 One Fifth Avenue, by Candace Bushnell.

Somehow, I’m having clitches and can’t get that 25 stuck on the last one. Have you read any? Which ones are the really good ones…either based on your own experiences or reviews? (I rarely read hardbacks unless they’re at the library for obvious reasons.)

For those of you interested many of these have first chapters available at nytimes.com. Just click on books, then click on whichever list interests you. This list is the hardcover fiction list.
