Lynda Carter has some words for Megan Fox. The original Wonder Woman has some words for the woman being considered to take on her role in a new television series. Yes, Wonder Woman is headed back to television.

The talk of the series has popped up in recent months. After years of failing to get Wonder Woman to the big screen, the focus turned to putting an updated series on the small screen. Megan Fox was actually on a short list of actresses looked at for taking over the iconic role made famous by Lynda Carter.

That is until she began to trash talk the superhero. She thinks Wonder Woman is lame, and Lynda Carter is not to happy about that. The older actress is now speaking out against Megan Fox and her comments. According to Seattle PI, she said the following in a recent interview on Fox & Friends: “Megan Fox actually kind of trashed Wonder Woman. She said she thought it was dumb, like ‘What’s the big whoop making people tell the truth.’ I like her, I just thought she shouldn’t trash Wonder Woman.”

And Lynda is right. Megan Fox really shouldn’t be trashing the character. She does have a right to speak her mind, but tact is always good. However, tact has never been one of Megan Fox’s strongest suits. Carter does support the reboot of the series though. She thinks David E. Kelley is the right man to bring the character back to the small screen. She said the following about his role in the new series: “He’s great at the underlying comedy and character development. I spoke to him several weeks ago and he is perfect for it because he will really give the characters life.”

Kelley is known for strong series that blend comedy and drama to give a well rounded series full of rich characters. He has no problem pushing the envelope. With series such as “Ally McBeal” and “The Practice” on his resume, one can see he can mix the two. Remember the dancing baby, anyone?

The “Wonder Woman” television series is still in development, but it is a good thing that Lynda Carter supports it. Having portrayed the character herself, she would be the best to gauge things when it comes to the series.

Was Megan Fox right for bashing what could be her future job? Probably not. It would be surprising to see her take on the role now, but she once bashed “Transformers” to and took it back. However, she was not a part of things for “Transformers 3″ currently in production. Sometimes what you say does come back to haunt you!

No word on when the series will hit, but hopefully it will hit soon. Check out Lynda’s interview from earlier this week below. Go here for the latest in entertainment news and gossip.
