Maci Bookout is done with Teen Mom, after four seasons on the show, but she’s not done with television all together. In fact, she’s open to doing another reality show, but she has a few things to get finished with first. In a new radio interview from earlier today, Maci talked about a possible spin-off, her relationship status, and more.
During the “Kill Your Radio” podcast recapped by Starcasm, Maci finally addressed the spin-off rumors that have been plaguing her since Teen Mom ended. While she feels like they likely got started by fans who so badly want to see more of her and Bentley on television, she’s not opposed to doing a spin-off of her and Bentley in the future, which fans will love to hear.
“It’s not that we’re not going to be back on TV with our own show or anything like that,” she says, “it’s just Bentley’s getting older, I’m trying to finish school, I’m almost done, and I’ve got a lot of career moves that I’m trying to do first before I jump right back into the TV thing, because it really takes up so much time and it is a lot of work.” For starters, Maci just hosted the Teen Mom 2 aftershows. Maci has been wanting to host for a while now, so that was an exciting opportunity for her and the fans are sure to enjoy it as well.
As for her relationship status, Maci admits, “I am single. I’ve been single for four or five months now. It’s not that I don’t want to be in a relationship or that I’m avoiding it, it’s just that I’m so busy with Bentley, and work, and school, and everything that I’ve got going on.” Maci had been on and off with Kyle King, whom fans saw on Teen Mom, for about two years before finally splitting a few months ago. Fans had been hoping they’d eventually make it work, but it doesn’t look like they can.
For now, it looks like Maci is free of her camera crew and her ball and chain, and hopefully, she’ll get to enjoy it while it lasts.
