The Mayweather vs. Cotto fight time for the live HBO boxing fight card is on the way for Saturday, May 5th, just hours after the completion of the 2012 Kentucky Derby results. In this bout, Floyd Mayweather steps into the ring with Miguel Cotto, looking to improve his impressive record to 43-0. Cotto will be looking for a huge upset.

So what time does Mayweather vs. Cotto fight time begin? According to boxing site Bad Left Hook, these two will get into the ring sometime after 9PM EST tonight. There’s an undercard so don’t expect the match right away, as this is definitely the main event bout. It could be as much as 2 to 3 hours after the event’s start time before these two finally start their match at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Other matches to watch tonight will include Jessie Vargas vs. Steve Forbes, and Deandre Latimore vs. Carlos Quintana. Sometimes these matches end up getting more critical acclaim than the main events, as those can sometimes just be drag-out fights with a unanimous score at the end of all rounds. Fans would love to see a big knockout of course, so Mayweather may want to step it up.

Tonight’s Mayweather vs. Cotto fight time and the complete undercard can be viewed on HBO Pay-Per-View in the United States, or BoxNation in the United Kingdom. Current odds favor Mayweather heavily to get his 43rd win. Do you agree?
