Will anyone win the Mega Millions tonight? The September 28, 2012 jackpot is worth $21,000,000. Just match all six Mega Millions winning numbers and you’ll be tonight’s lottery winner!
The last time someone won the Mega Millions grand prize was September 18 when a New York lottery winner matched all six numbers for $15,000,000. This is only the third drawing since then, and the game hasn’t had time to build up a sizable pot yet.
$21,000,000 may be a small amount compared to the $656,000,000 jackpot won in March 2012. That one had to be split by three Mega Millions winners from Illinois, Kansas, and Maryland!
19-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Wins $250,000
Nicholas Ruth is a very fortunate young man. Not only did he beat cancer (leukemia), he also won $250,000 in a recent Mega Millions drawing! After taxes, Ruth will end up with about $165,000. So, what does he plan to do with all his money?
The Maryland Mega Millions winner is going to pay off his car and perhaps buy a house with some of his money. What’s really amazing is that he also intends on donating a portion of his prize winnings to a number of charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which apparently sent him on a cruise!
“People keep saying I deserve it and what I went through, but there’s people far off worse than what I went through that can use the money more than me, and I’m just glad I can help them out,” reports the Huffington Post. Congratulations, Nick! It’s always heartwarming to hear stories like yours!
