Mega Millions Winners April 6, 2012
Surprisingly, there were 559,857 Mega Millions winners in last night’s lottery drawing, especially for having such a small jackpot of just $20,000,000. California lottery winners came out on top again, but aren’t they always the big winners each drawing?
There were nine (9) Match 5 + 0 Mega Millions winners. Two (2) second-tier lottery winners purchased their winning tickets from the California Lottery, and the remaining states had one (1) winner for $250,000 each: Massachusetts, Louisiana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. If any of these winners purchased Megaplier tickets for this size wager, they’ll be thrilled when they wake up Saturday morning as the latest millionaire!
In addition to the high-tier lottery winners, there were also thirty (3) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. Each winner matched four out of five white Mega Millions winning numbers, and the Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize. Any Megaplier players will have their prize winnings multiplied by 4 to $40,000 instead of the standard size prize of $10,000.
