If you’re a fan of the original series of Melrose Place, check out the March 30 episode of the new Melrose as it returns to the CW for the rest of the season–this particular episode, called “Santa Fe,” features a one-night-only reunion of four original castmembers: Daphne Zuniga (as Jo Reynolds), Heather Locklear (as Amanda Woodward), Thomas Calabro (as Dr. Michael Mancini) and Josie Bissett (as Jane Andrews). They all look great and will probably bring a much-needed blip to the ratings of the show.
As Melrose Place executive producer Darren Swimmer told E! Online, “We’ve had visits by original castmembers throughout the year, and we all thought, ‘Let’s get them together in one show.’ One of the highlights of the season for me was walking on the set to see all four original castmembers together on the courtyard staircase. There was a true sense of reunion in the room, and I think you can see in their performances how tickled they are to be acting together again.”
OOH, we are, too! As long as Heather is a cold stone businesswoman and Daphne is still the wacky photog and Thomas the most unreliable doctor that ever passed his medical exams and Jane a fashion designer extraordinaire, all will be well in the world.
Personally, I wish there was a Billy and Allison reunion–if only to hear Courtney Thorne-Smith say, “I love you, Billy” in that strange, low voice of hers. Of course, having spent the last ten years or so peddling her humanity to get a paycheck on ACCORDING TO JIM (ugh!), do you think she would be above such splendor as returning to the scene of so many crimes? Or should she just move straight to SUMMER SCHOOL II with Mark Harmon? You be the judge. In the meantime, sit back, relax and enjoy that show!
