The Miami Heat are taking on the New York Knicks tonight for game 5 in their series. Miami is looking to move on in the playoffs with a win tonight, and the Knicks will be trying to do everything in their power to force a game 6.

A lot is on the line in tonight’s game. For Miami, they will be looking to finish the Knicks off and move forward for a chance to win this year’s championship. For the Knicks, they are looking to force a game 6 and show that they still have some fight in them.

Miami Looking To Finish The Knicks Off Tonight

Miami has looked spectacular in this series thanks to the play of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade. LeBron scored 27 points and Wade score 22 points, but it was not enough to finish the series off. Game 4 was very competitive with the final score being 87-89 in favor of the Knicks. Miami had the chance to win the game late in the fourth quarter with the last shot, but Wade missed it and the Knicks fans celebrated emphatically.

Stoudemire also had a sensational game scoring 20 points and had 10 rebounds. Their defense also played better, and they will need to replicate this type of performance if they want to win game 5.

Keys To Victory

For the Heat, they will need their stars to shine tonight. Wade and James need to set the tempo early on in the game, and they need to execute on second chance points. The bench will also need to come through while the stars are not in. If they can do these things, then they should come out the victors tonight and advance in the playoffs.

For the Knicks, they need to be firing on all cylinders. Carmelo Anthony might have to score 30 plus points and Stoudemire will need to have offensive production as well. Chandler will need to get as many rebounds as he can and use his defensive skills, which he was named defensive player of the year. If they can do all of these things, then they have a great chance of sending the series into a game 6.
