In an overwhelmingly kind gesture, hundreds attended Michelle Duggar’s memorial service for miscarried baby, Jubilee Duggar, some of whom – fellow miscarriage survivors – lent surprisingly support to Michelle in her dark hour.
“They told me, ‘I felt like this was a service for my little one, I needed to be here today,’” she said in a statement. “I am so thankful that God brought us together, they were hugging me and telling me it reached their hearts for their own babies.”
The service, held in the couple’s hometown of Springdale, Arkansas, also included a recorded letter from Michelle to Jubilee, with the mother “pouring her heart out” to her lost child.
Michelle Duggar learned that the baby no longer had a heartbeat Friday, just over nineteen weeks along. They then made the decision to name the baby and hold a memorial service, likely for closure and to honor her memory.
Such a sad experience for Michelle and Jim Bob to have to go through, as well as their nineteen other children. Hopefully Michelle Duggar can find peace and comfort throughout the healing process.
“We have so much to be thankful for,” Michelle Duggar said of her experience throughout the physical and emotional process that is miscarriage. “I know that in the days and weeks to come there will be other things that I will walk though, and grief that will come, and there will be times that we will worship and sing praises. I know that God will allow me to continue to release the emotions that I will release.”
