Food cop Michelle Obama should practice what she preaches, according to Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI), because her rear end is looking quite large these days.
While the Wisconsin politician isn’t Mr. Olympia himself, he makes a great point. The first nanny-in-chief is always being photographed wolfing down fatty foods. How many ice cream cones will the first lady consume during her 17-day Hawaii excursion?
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a rich diet, but don’t lecture everyone else about their gastronomic preferences. Apparently, Sensenbrenner was overheard talking on his cell phone at an airport Wednesday in Washington, D.C., about Obama’s backside. He was heard by a Democratic operative saying she had a “large posterior,” and bashed her for lecturing Americans about dieting.
What’s more, the congressman didn’t deny the conversation. When contacted by the press, his spokeswoman said, “Mr. Sensenbrenner was referring to the first lady’s healthy food initiative (Let’s Move).”
How can children take Obama seriously when she was caught in July downing a 1,700-calorie meal at the opening of a Shake Shack in Washington, D.C.? Obesity is a legitimate problem in the United States, but it should be addressed in the home, not by the federal government.
