Was Mila Kunis’ dramatic weight loss for her role in ‘Black Swan’ safe, or even a good idea? Is it possible that by changing her body for a movie role, she may never be the same person again?
Mila Kunis dropped her weight down to only 95 lbs. for the movie. Now she admits that she is not too fond of how her body has responded when she started to gain weight, getting back to a more normal, healthy weight.
My shape is different. When I got down to 95 pounds, I was muscles, like a little brick house, but skin and bones. When I gained it back, it went to completely different areas. I’d be happy if my @ss got bigger. All the weight that left my chest went to my side hip, my stomach.
Perhaps a bigger issue here than Mila not regaining her pre-role physique is the fact that Hollywood continues to encourage actors to do things to their bodies to secure roles. In Mila Kunis’ case, she may never be the same physically and mentally.
She has seen her body respond to tons of weight. Now she claims that she would do it again for work, but from the sound of things she would do it begrudgingly.
Perhaps Mila is opening a can of worms by talking about Hollywood directors who demand the talent to look a ‘certain way’ for the movies. It makes one wonder just how many actors starve themselves to maintain a ‘look.’ This can’t be healthy for anyone, either physically or mentally when they look at themselves in the mirror.
