Miley Cyrus was ready and willing to lend Wiz Khalifa a helping hand—or voice, actually—at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. When the Black and Yellow rapper received his award for Best New Artist, he became a bit tongue-tied. That’s when Miley jumped in.

According to a report from the Huffington Post, Miley presented Khalifa with his award, and he starting voicing his acceptance.

“I wanna thank God first, because God is amazing, so amazing. I wanna thank my mom, my dad, my family, everybody who like, let me do what I do to get to this point,” he said.

After a bit of a pause Miley could see he’d drawn a blank so she graciously coached him through the final bits of his acceptance speech.

“Don’t forget your girl,” she say quietly.

“Of course. My beautiful fiancée, because she’s my world and she puts up with my crazy butt too,” Wiz Khalifa said of Amber Rose, quickly recovering from his lapse.

Kudos to Miley Cyrus for helping out a friend in a moment of memory loss. It’s got to be harrowing to stand in front of that kind of crowd and remember everything you’d like to say. Every now and then the former Hannah Montana star surprises audiences and fans with her well-mannered behavior. This was exactly one of those rare moments.

Wiz Khalifa is likely grateful!
