Miranda Lambert Slams Chris Brown After the Grammys

Chris Brown won the Grammy last night for “Best R&B Album” and performed twice on stage, but not everyone in the music industry was loving his time in the spotlight.

Award-winning country crooner Miranda Lambert took to her Twitter page today (Feb. 13) to discuss Brown’s overhaul of the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. The “Gunpowder and Lead” singer expressed disappointment over Brown getting so much praise and airtime.

Lambert tweeted: “Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl…”

A second tweet from Lambert continued: “Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to ‘Gunpowder and Lead’ and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”

Lambert is, of course, referring to Brown’s notorious violent assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in February 2009. Judging by the Grammy he took home last night, however, it seems all is forgiven and Brown is back on top among his peers in the entertainment industry.

Or is he?

Besides Lambert, several other celebrities had things to say about Brown at the Grammys.

According to TooFab, Emmy-winning Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet gave his opinion in this tweet: “Are Chris Brown’s mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?”

Meanwhile, The View co-host Sherri Shepherd shared this thought via Twitter: “Looks like all is forgiven w/ Chris Brown. That’s all I’ll say.”

As of now, Brown hasn’t responded to any of the critical tweets online. He’s probably too busy celebrating his Grammy victory with his posse, Team Breezy.

So, music fans, what do you think of Chris Brown’s performances and big award at the Grammys last night? Is it too soon to praise someone who pled guilty to assaulting his girlfriend a mere three years ago?

Or, is it time to let go and focus on Brown’s musical talent rather than the mistakes he’s made in his personal life? Has he paid his dues? Has he really changed? You be the judge.
