Before she lost the weight, Bree Boyce wore a size 18. To celebrate the weight loss, she ended up competing for and winning the title of Miss South Carolina. The 22-year-old had faced a nearly life-long struggle with her weight, trying every diet available. Finally, with the help of a dietician, she successfully changed her life for the better, and now she is devoted to fighting obesity.

The beauty queen will compete in the Miss America pageant later this year. Her message is to be healthy. She lost weight through exercise and portion control. She wants people to be the healthiest they can be. She also wants to serve as an inspiration to everybody because she lived through the struggle of losing weight.
