The Mobb Deep Havoc vs. Prodigy beef on Twitter appears to have been cleared up. Recent tweet remarks on Monday involving singer Rihanna and various insulting remarks had been allegedly made by Havoc, but have since been dispelled.
The Havoc Twitter remarks made on Monday included everything from wishing Prodigy well on his marriage to Rihanna, to insinuating he had a homosexual relationship while in prison. However, on Tuesday, Havoc let MTV News know the real deal in a statement he made. Basically, one half of the rap group said that his phone had been stolen. He told MTV News:
“Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey. I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick’s game.”
Havoc also tweeted that his Twitter account would be down until further notice, letting fans know:
“To all Mobb Deep fans: it’s business as usual! It’s Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!”
Fans of the infamous rap group can know breathe a sigh of relief as it appears the beef was merely a cell phone thief messing around. Luckily, it looks like Mobb will be continuing to bring forth more music. The duo is currently working on an untitled ninth studio album which will be a followup to “Blood Money” so it should be back to business as usual for one of rap music’s longtime artists.
