morning glory

as I recline, awake in pre-dawn light

in light that softly filters through the blinds

I watch  her sleep – my fount of sweet delight

she has no thought she pleases, there reclined

that she allures as sheets her shoulders drape

in light that softly filters through the blinds

with rise and fall of form her lovely shape

her covered, but unhidden lovely frame

all her allures as sheet her shoulders drape

she feels me there and snuggles me aflame

incendiary is her touch on me

with covered, but unhidden lovely frame

I live for her; she’s all I have or need

she rises, locks the door, intent to love

incendiary is her touch on me

her passion rides – I groan to God above

as I recline – aflame in pre-dawn light

in sultry heat she fits me like a glove

in light that softly filters through the blinds
