Muddy Buddies

As part of my 101 things in 1001 days list, I said I'd try out new recipies.  This is one that I know I "helped" make as a kid but I'm counting it since this is the first time I've really made them.

Chex Muddy Buddies

one box of wheat chex cereal

1 cup of Hershey's special dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

In a 1 quart pyrex measuring cup, I melted the chocolate chips, the peanut butter and the butter in the microwave (on High for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes).

In the largest bowl I could find, I poured the chocolate mix over the chex cereal and stirred well – attempting to coat all the pieces evenly.  Luckily, my Giant Bowl has a lid, so I added the pwedered sugar and covered the bowl and shook it to coat the cereal.  The lid only slipped once and I love my little Shark vacuum, so it was all ok.

I probably should have waited a little longer between adding the chocolate and adding the sugar – a lot of the sugar dissolved.  It's still a tasty snack though! fileId:3096224744171473;size:inter;
