For 2012, my goal is to be a full-time artist.  My longtime partner and soon-to-be wife Carol will support me.  (I am so blessed.)

Goal 1:  Structure my day and stick to the regimen.

Goal 2:  Writing (4 hours a day)

…Try to place my stories in periodicals and ultimately publish my new story collection

…Continue to build my online presence as an author

…Work on my novel

…Work on my autobiography

Goal 3:  Music (4 hours a day)

…Find a regular club gig in the area

…Spend a year woodshedding on Fats Waller, Professor Longhair, Scott Joplin, and their ilk.

…Write and record an album that isn’t all over the map stylistically (I’ve concluded that’s suicide these days), namely an album of original songs along the lines of my You’re In The Palm Of My Hand in an acoustic, ragtime/stride/boogie woogie vein.

…Ultimately, I’ll have an album people can get a handle on which has a chance of catching fire, and an act I can take into schools as well as clubs and festivals

Goal 4:  Walk for 30-60 minutes every day.
