This is yet another instance of the actress finally growing up though. Some have looked at her as the girl next door ever since she first arrived on scene as a twelve year old in her first role. She is no longer twelve, and she is trying to shake the image with the projects she picks up and the things she does.

With a possible role in a racy “Snow White” and a film that is set for release in December, “Black Swan,” she might be well on her way to doing that.  That film has generated buzz because of a lesbian scene between Portman and co-star Mila Kunis. That film just premiered this week, and it will hit theaters on December 3rd.

Now, she is taking another step towards dispelling the image she has for herself. This new comedy Portman is writing is being called raunchy and racy. Some have compared it to a take on “Superbad” with women in the lead roles. Portman plans to star in and produce the film with Anne Hathaway expressing interest in taking the second role on.

In the film titled “BYO” for Bring Your Own, the two female leads will throw a party where their female guests are responsible for bringing an eligible bachelor as a date. Portman co-wrote the script with Laura Moses. This is the first time Natalie Portman has ventured into the writing side of things. There is no denying her intelligence, so she should be able to put together a well written script. The young woman did attend Harvard after all!

Will the studios want to grab the script and run with it though? So far, no. That could change. There is buzz around the script already, and with Natalie being in the spotlight in the weeks ahead, the script should only receive more attention.
