NCIS season 10 continues on Tuesday with episode 2, “Recovery,” which will see the team back to working regular cases after their explosive encounters with Dearing. However, they’re not going to be able to forget about the explosion so soon because the case is going to be related to the bombing.
Season 10 Episode 2 “Recovery” Sneak Peek
“When the body of a missing NCIS facilities manager is found four months after disappearing on the day of the Navy Yard bombings, the NCIS team is assigned to investigate the strange case for one of their own. Meanwhile, the team is required to complete mandatory psych evaluations with a crisis counselor, and Gibbs is most concerned about Abby’s recurring nightmares since the bombing.”
As it was, the bombing is not something they can get over easily, and while finding the missing facilities manager means closure, it’s still tough. As the NCIS season 10 episode 2 clip for “Recovery” (below) shows, Jimmy has taken over for Ducky while he’s out on medical leave. How will that change Jimmy? Tony does comment that he could be getting “a little cocky in Ducky’s big boy shoes” after Jimmy makes a comment about body decay, but Ziva reassures him he’s not when it’s clear Jimmy’s worried about coming across that way. It’s good to see that some things haven’t changed—and that includes Ducky chiming in.
Yes, Ducky’s supposed to be on medical leave, but that doesn’t stop him from showing up at the crime scene and explaining that Ziva shouldn’t get her hopes up because Jimmy said this woman had a dark complexion and their missing manager was fair. The dark complexion is from the pond silt. When Gibbs asks Ducky why he’s there, the ME explains that he couldn’t stay away when he found out one of their own might have been found. He calls not having medical clearance “a mere formality,” and for Ducky, it certainly is. Will Ducky be forced to go home after this, or will he hang around providing insight?
