‘NCIS’ Season 10: Rocky Carroll Returning to Continue Playing Vance

NCIS season 9 ended on quite the cliffhanger, with multiple characters’ lives in danger. Meanwhile, some futures were uncertain behind-the-scenes as well, but now, another cast member has signed on for season 10.

More Vance in Season 10

NCIS on CBS.Last Vance was seen, he was leaving the building—and telling McGee, who was backing up the files on his computer, to do the same—as everyone was preparing for the bomb in his car to go off. Well, he’ll be around next year, as TVLine has reported that “Rocky Carroll has closed a new deal” to stay on playing Director Vance in NCIS season 10. He’s not the agency’s first director on the show—or even the second—but he has been around for multiple seasons now, and it’s always fun to see how he and Gibbs end up siding on issues.

Before the ninth season even ended, it was reported that David McCallum would be back for season 10, as well as season 11. Now, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, and Sean Murray’s futures are the only ones uncertain, and it would be hard to imagine the show without even one of them. The series is going into its 10th season, and it just keeps getting better and better—and bringing in more and more viewers. Its popularity has only grown, and it’s no wonder it’s TV’s number one drama. Part of that is due to the cast, so news that another one of them has signed on for another season is of course good news. Hopefully the remaining three follow suit.

Will you be tuning in to NCIS season 10? Who’s your favorite director on the show?
