‘NCIS’ Season 10 Spoilers: Gibbs Connects with a Marine Captain with PTSD

NCIS is going to have another two-parter during November sweeps in the upcoming 10th season, and the latest news out about the CBS procedural drama that keeps getting better and better is about casting for just that.

Season 10 Spoilers

According to TVGuide.com, Brad Beyer will be guest starring in two episodes airing in November as “Marine Capt. Joe Westcott, an upstanding unit leader who returns from a tour in Afghanistan after his best friend and many more of his men lose their lives.” He’s going to be facing questions not only from Gibbs, but “other federal investigators” as well (could Joe Spano return as Fornell for this?), and when that happens, that’s when signs of PTSD will appear. Something else to note about Westcott is he had a “tense relationship with his gruff father,” and executive producer Gary Glasberg has teased that “Gibbs and Westcott will make a ‘real connection’ over the course of these two episodes.” Now that should be something that could be very interesting to watch and could offer more insight into Gibbs.

It seems likely that this won’t be the first time PTSD is brought up in NCIS season 10. They’re not going to just forget about the explosion on the Navy Yard after the first episode, and that could be something they could call on to try to relate to Westcott. Abby in particular is going to be suffering from nightmares, as teased in the episode description for the second episode, “Recovery”; will she be talking to Westcott at some point? This sounds like just the arc that will make November an exciting month for this drama series.
