NCIS has a few guest stars coming up in the first part of the season. One is someone who has been mentioned before but has just been cast for the new season and will offer insight into one of the main characters.

Season 10 Spoilers

Billy Dee Williams is going to be guest starring as Leroy Jethro, Jackson Gibbs’ best friend whom Gibbs was named for. Executive producer Gary Glasberg told TV Guide, “It’s a relationship that existed between Gibbs’ father, Jackson, and one of his best friends, named Leroy Jethro. Billy Dee’s LJ will provide unexpected insight into the men who influenced Gibbs.” That’s not all that’s coming, as LJ’s appearance will also lead to “a startling revelation about his family.” What could be coming Gibbs’ way next? He’s going to be going after Harper Dearing in the premiere after the explosion that rocked headquarters, and it doesn’t sound like things are going to slow down at all for Gibbs in the beginning of the season, with Williams guest starring in October. It’s always good to see Ralph Waite appear as Jackson, and this episode sounds like one that fans who like to learn more about Gibbs and his family should enjoy.

Also coming up in NCIS season 10 is another project in the basement for Gibbs, but what he’s building “won’t be revealed until the finale.” Everyone knows about Gibbs’ boat he built, and it’s impossible to forget Mike Franks’ coffin. But what’s he building next? Will it be something that is hinted at all season and leads up to a big event in the finale? How important is it going to be?
