‘NCIS’ Season 10 Spoilers: The Team in Therapy After the Explosion?

The NCIS team will have been through a lot when season 10 begins with the aftermath of the explosion and Ducky’s heart attack. So, it’s no surprise what they have coming their way in episode 2.

Season 10 Spoilers

Michael Weatherly told Entertainment Weekly, “A head-shrinker is coming to assess the mental status of our people. And I don’t think anyone on this team should ever get looked at too closely by a psychiatrist.” He points to Ducky talking to the dead, Abby “strung out on Caf-Pow,” Tony’s own problems, McGee’s problems involving his father, “Gibbs’ basement of boat and bourbon, and Ziva’s ‘almost Shakespearean’ daddy issues” as just a few examples of why that is. They’ve dealt with a psychologist before—Dr. Rachel Cranston, Kate’s sister—and she picked up some things about each team member. What will happen this time around when the team has to deal with therapy? They do need it considering what happened in the finale, but is this psychiatrist ready for what he or she is about to walk into with these characters? This sounds like it has potential for some amusing moments, as well as possibly some breakthroughs.

Unsurprisingly, the reason why Abby’s brother is returning to NCIS season 10 is because she will “reach out to her brother early…as she deals with trauma following the explosion.” They didn’t explore that storyline to its full potential last season, and what better reason to do so now than to incorporate it into what happened?
