I don’t know if any of you have watched the series “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” that now airs on Animal Planet at 9 p.m. on Friday nights, but I highly recommend it if you like watching true stories of survival.  It used to air on the Discovery Channel, and the Discovery Channel does still occasionally play reruns of this series, which last aired new episodes in 2006, but Animal Planet is airing new episodes for 2010 on Fridays at 9 p.m.  I am so pumped that the show is back because I have missed it and have been watching for its return.  Each hour-long episode is a different true story of survival.  The re-enactments are very realistic, and you are on the edge of your seat as you watch people find themselves in life-threatening situations and have to fight to survive.  There have been four episodes so far this year that have included stories about a woman who gets trapped in a canyon after falling and breaking her pelvis and spine in half with only her dog as a companion and the only one who knows where she is located, a couple on a date who gets lost and stranded in the forest for days, a man on a hunting trip who gets attacked and mauled by a grizzly bear and must find help before he dies from his wounds, and a man who ends up crushed and alone in the Canadian Rockies after his quad car goes out of control and ends up crushing his legs underneath it so that he cannot escape.  I am totally hooked on the show and wanted to let everyone know about it.  If you are a fan of the show yourself, I would love to hear what you think.  Once again, tune in to the Animal Planet network on Friday nights at 9 p.m.   The next new episode airs on 2/19/10 and is about two teenage boys who get pulled out to sea on the South Carolina coast.  I can’t wait to see it!
