In preparation for the new Jennifer Lopez fragrance, J.Lo herself shot ads for the new perfume called “Love & Light.”
Lopez took on an old-Hollywood style and posed in a silk wrap dress at a behind-the-scenes movie set. The photos clearly show that she must be People’s Most Beautiful Woman. Even though Lopez embodies a glamorous look for the photos, the concept behind the fragrance itself is based on what’s inside, Lopez said.
“With Love & Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit,” Lopez said in a release. “It’s about how you feel inside.”
The starlet will make a weekend appearance on HSN to promote her new fragrance on Saturday at noon, 9 p.m., and midnight. Since Lopez is increasingly attracting a wider audience due to American Idol, an appearance on HSN will likely garner more sales for the pop diva.
Betsy Olum, general manager of beauty and merchandising strategy at HSN, said Lopez’s appearance will make the scent “simply come alive.”
“We know our audience is going to love hearing from her on what influenced the creation of this fragrance,” said Olum, according to People.com.
Yet none of Lopez’s fragrances have ever seemed to do as well as her original perfume, Glow by J.Lo. Her advertisement efforts may pay off in the end, since her fashion and beauty campaigns are usually some of the best executed.
Love & Light will be available at Kohl’s and other department stores in September, starting at $58, and a shower gel for $32.
